ISEF Alumnus, Dr. Moshe Elkabets of the Shraga Segal Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, was awarded the 2017 Teva Founders Prize and Research Grant. Dr. Elkabets runs his own medical laboratory for cancer research at BGU. Since 1993, the Teva Founders’ Prize has been awarded annually to leading Israeli researchers in the Life Sciences and Biomedical fields, in collaboration with the Israel Academy for Science and Humanities. This prize was established to commemorate Teva’s founders and to express the company’s long-lasting commitment to advancing scientific research in Israel. In 2016, Dr. Elkabets received a grant from the Israel Science Foundation (ISF).
