The recent meeting of this year’s doctoral program began with Haim Hadad, an ISEF graduate and one of the founders of the Michael
Method (learning technology for self-efficacy and excellence), who spoke about self-management and self-perceptions and how students can better adapt those techniques to their lives.
It continued with two students, Mor and Yisrael, who spoke about their groundbreaking research to manufacture lenses in a much more cost-effective way. By removing gravity from the process, they can formulate lenses using liquid polymer that is submerged in another liquid, thus removing the mechanical processing and expensive base. Mor will be accompanied by an astronaut, in collaboration with the Ramon Foundation, to fly to space and test this technique!
