Born in the village of Merewa, Ethiopia, Asmarech made Aliyah as a baby in 1993.
In 2014, Asmarech served as an IDF officer, providing critical logistical support during Operation Protective Edge.
Today Asmarech is a leader in ISEF’s Luna and Selim z”l Benardete Bridge to College project, inspiring others by her example to graduate high school and qualify for college.
More than 400 first-generation Israeli students are counting on us–the ISEF family–to empower their studies this Fall.
