Congratulations to ISEF graduate, Dr. Simcha Gathon, who was selected to light a beacon in the 74th Israel Independence Day ceremony!
The committee in charge of deciding who to invite was looking for those who help build a better Israeli civilization, work for an inclusive society, build communities and connections, promote equality of opportunity, and help Israelis unite.
Dr. Simcha Gathon, as the chairperson of “The Ethiopian Jewish Heritage Center”, one of the founders of the “Elem” organization for assistance to youth at risk, and an ISEF alumni committee member, represents all of this and more.
